Dirk Gently Series Book Cover

For my Final in Typography, I redid the cover for the collection of the 2 Dirk Gently books by Douglas Adams, Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency and The Long Dark Tea Time of the Soul. Douglas Adams is one of my absolute favorite authors.

I can't say this cover is completely satifying, but I can't figure out what it is about it that's not right.
